Kim I am always just amazed when I see a Black Pearl Iris.They are magnificent trees and the one in the photo here is more so.There is one close to where I lived in Portland on the West Side - next to a bus stop.Often I would just stand in mesmerized by the beauty and stature of that tree.I have wondered what it was called and though I returned to see it last year I forgot to take a picture.Yeah I am forgetful.Next time I am in Portland I will show it to you.Lovely posts!Ridwan

I got the name wrong did I not.Did I tell you that alongside being forgetful I am also in a hurry most times?Black Pearl Iris is the picture below the tree I still wonder about.Mmmm ... does anyone know what it is called?Art once mentioned that it may have some Japanese connection.Not sure.Ridwan
RidwanI do not know what the trees are called. These were very cool and reminded me of something from a fairy tale. I could have sat and looked at these for a good long while.I'll find the name and get back at ya.Kim
