Yes, I had a morning surprise but not the kind
you're thinking of (unfortunately). I was making my morning smoothie and
noticed my car was parked on the curb; both tires were on the curb. I could not
remember parking like that the day before, after about 10 minutes I realized
that there was debris on the ground and there was a wrecked car parked across
the street. Yup, someone crashed into my car during the night; he hit it so
hard it pushed the passenger’s side two wheels on the curb. Well to say the
least it is dented up and the muffler is hanging off and I think the back wheel
is bent. Will know more tomorrow.
Damn!
**Update - The car went to the body shop will be fixed, thank you. I add two more pics. Tonight I was driving the rental car and drove 6 blocks without the lights on, my car the lights are on automatically, so happy I did not get pulled over.

From the pictures it looks like he hit it very hard so there will need to be an assessment of the mechanicals especially since you say the rear wheel looks bent - I'm thinking chassis and rear axle.
That said it is unlikely to be totaled though - but the dude is gonna be paying through his nose (or at least his insurance is).
Fixing a Saab will not be just your regular repair.
Still can't see how or why he would hit your car unless he was speeding or drunk. But to his credit he just did not drive away.
I am sorry Kimster that you have to add this to your plate.
Keep pressing on nonetheless.

Well the car was towed tonight and will know more tomorrow.
Oh and I absolutely hate dealing with insurance companies. Not fun at all!!
